JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government targets budget absorption in 2023 will reach 90 percent by the end of December.
According to Papua Acting Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur, the absorption of the activity budget programmed in the 2023 main budget has reached almost 80 percent.
The delay in budget absorption is because most of the work of Regional Work Unit activities is in the regional budget Change.
"Because we don't have much allocation in the main regional budget, more allocated in the regional budget changes."
"But I have instructed all SKPD to work hard to ensure that by the end of December, we can achieve 90 percent if we can absorb 100 percent of the budget," explained Derek, in Jayapura, Wednesday, in Jayapura.
The Acting Regional Secretary hopes that budget absorption in the main regional budget will not be merged with the revised regional budget. His party will also immediately conduct an evaluation meeting with the heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations to see the absorption at the end of November.
Meanwhile, Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Agency Jeri A. Yudianto appealed to third parties to immediately complete the billing, so that budget absorption could progress more optimally.
"Because usually third parties in Papua wait later at the end of the fiscal year and then make collections," he said. ***
