JAYAPURA - The Papua Family Welfare Empowerment immediately launched a chili planting movement program to control inflation in Papua.
Each house is expected to plant a minimum of five chili trees.
Acting Chairman of the Papua Family Welfare Empowerment, Linda Onibala said the chili planting movement would begin in January 2024. This activity will be one of the flagship agendas of Papua Family Welfare Empowerment, in addition to the 10 main programs of the family empowerment organization.
"We will also be supported by the Provincial Agriculture office for the provision of seeds but also the District and City Family Welfare Empowerment for the success of this inflation control program in districts and cities," explained Linda, in Jayapura, Friday.
Meanwhile, regarding the program to reduce stunting, Linda said that she had distributed 2,700 packages of clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) in nine districts and cities throughout Papua.
Including hundreds of scales as well as staple food packages for widows, the elderly and orphans.
She also ensured that the program would continue in 2024, along with the Dasawisma program.
"In January 2024, we will first evaluate the stunting handling program (this year). We will see (what it looks like) the achievements of the stunting acceleration program in the regions," she said. ***
