JAYAPURA - The Papua Communication and Informatics Agency (Kominfo) believes that the disadvantaged, frontier and outermost (3T) residents in Cenderawasih Earth have felt the benefits of telecommunications networks carried out by the central government.
This can be seen from the increasing data of 3T residents in Papua who are technologically literate or surfing social media for personal, entertainment and business purposes.
"From our observations, the presence of telecommunications networks in Papua is now beneficial for 3T residents, where previously there was only a network owned by PT Telkom, but now it has been supported by other networks," explained Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Agency Jery Agus Yudianto, in Jayapura, Wednesday.
According to him, three telecommunication networks are National Strategic Projects (PSN) which have now been benefited by 3T residents in Papua. Threetelecommunication networks, namely East Palapa Ring, 4G BTS and Satria.
The presence of these three networks from the central government is very helpful for local governments in accelerating the development of your infrastructure.
In addition, the presence of the three telecommunications networks has been utilized by the community well, in the fields of education, health and infrastructure.
"Indeed, this telecommunications network cannot be left behind in the construction of the building. Because of a region, it must get digitalization support through telecommunications networks. Therefore, the government can minimize the digital divide," he said. ***
