JAYAPURA - The Central Family Empowerment and Welfare Mobilization Team (TP PKK) made a working visit to Papua on Wednesday (12/13/2023), to monitor and evaluate the work program of family empowerment organizations in Papua Province.
The Central Family Empowerment and Welfare team was received by the Acting Chairman of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare, Linda Onibala who was represented by the Head of Field I of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare, Sientje Loupatty Latuputty and staff.
Sientje Loupatty in her statement to the press stated that the presence of the team from the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare aimed to see and hear directly the results of the activities of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare, more specifically in the working group I in charge of mutual assistance and community empowerment mentally.
"Today there was a visit from Working Group I of the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare team which monitors the activities of Working Group I in Papua. We have also revealed what the Working Group I of Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare has done during 2023."
"One of the results of the work has printed eight series of Papuan Malay comics with pictures and colors and has been distributed throughout Papua. This comic tells about domestic violence, the impact of excessive smartphone use, and the bad influence of drugs and alcohol," explained Sientje, on the sidelines of the visit of the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare.
Sientje also on the occasion positively welcomed the visit of the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare. The results of monitoring and evaluation are expected to spur and motivate Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare in working and empowering the people.
Meanwhile, the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare team during its visit to Jayapura City, Papua, was led by Expert Staff for Family Character Building of the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare, Sri Handayani and Secretary I of the Central Family Empowerment and Welfare Meidy Malonda.
In addition to monitoring and evaluating the work program of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare, for four days in Papua, they will visit the safe house of the Papua Regional Police to meet directly with victims of domestic violence.
The Central Family Empowerment and Welfare will also visit the Women's Prison in Keerom Regency and some junior/senior high school educational institutions to socialize the impact of early childhood marriage. ***
