JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun directly monitors the availability of basic commodities ahead of the February 14, 2024 election.
Accompanied by the Acting Secretary of Papua Derek Hegemur and the Head of the Regional Apparatus Organization, the Acting Governor ensured that the stock of basic commodities was sufficient and available. Meanwhile, the price of basic commodities is stable.
"We checked directly the price of basic commodities in traditional markets and modern retail after the election. The price is observed to be stable," said the Acting Governor, Friday (16/2/2024), after a surprise inspection, at Saga Supermarket, Abepura, Jayapura City, Papua.
Ridwan said the inspection is an effort by the government to ensure the stability of prices of basic commodities. On the other hand, to ensure the availability ahead of the holy month of Ramadan there is insufficient stock.
Meanwhile, from the monitoring of journalists, the Acting Governor of Papua conducted direct monitoring at the Hamadi Fish Landing Base (PPI) at around 6 a.m.
Governor Ridwan witnessed the process of loading and unloading fish from fishing vessels to PPI, to be sold to the market.
The governor and his entourage also visited Hamadi Market to see firsthand the traders who were preparing the needs of the community.
Finally, the Governor checked the basic commodities sold at Saga Supermarket, Abepura, Jayapura City, Papua.
"The point is that after we checked earlier, the availability of basic commodities is in safe condition. People don't need to worry," he said.
Meanwhile, Ridwan added that public service activities have returned to normal after the election.
"We monitor that services have returned to normal," he said. ***
