JAYAPURA - The rehabilitation process of the Pertiwi XIII Kindergarten building in Jayapura City, which will take place from 2023 to this year, has received the attention of the Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun.
Accompanied by the Head of the Indonesian Women's Organization (DWP) of Papua, Linda Onibala, Governor Ridwan visited and monitored the process of building rehabilitation, which was received by the principal and local students, Wednesday (21/2/2024) morning.
Head of DWP Papua, Linda Onibala said, XIII Kindergarten is fostered by local women's organizations. Meanwhile, the visit of the Acting Governor of Papua, is to see the progress of school rehabilitation more closely.
"Because last year, the Papua Provincial Government budgeted for the rehabilitation of this kindergarten school. Like replacing the roof, ceiling and repairing the bathroom, now we want to see the results," Linda told reporters on the sidelines of the visit.
She added that the rehabilitation process of the school will continue in 2024 because several parts of the school need to be addressed again.
"So that in assisting, we will build a fence at the back of the school. We will also donate 100 seats and improve the school grounds."
Meanwhile, the Principal and students immediately welcomed the circular of the Acting Governor of Papua and the Head of DWP Papua at Pertiwi Kindergarten. Ridwan and Linda also went around each classroom to see the course of learning activities.
When meeting the students, they received a warm welcome and were also occasionally seen talking with the students. ***
