JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rudalamun visited stunted foster child Julianto E. Enock (7 months) from Doyo, Jayapura Regency, Tuesday (27/2/2024) morning.
The Governor was accompanied by the Chairman of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare Team, Linda Onibala, the Acting Regional Secretary of Papua Derek Hedemur and the Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations.
To journalists, the Acting Governor was grateful for Yulianto’s growth, who originally weighed less than 3 kilograms in November 2023, now weighs 5.4 kilograms.
"Thank God, Julianto's weight has increased from 3 kg to more than 5 kg. Hopefully, we will immediately prepare more so that the progress will be better and the child will be healthy. We will also help the mother," explained the Governor Ridwan.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Papua Family Empowerment and Welfare, Linda Onibala, stated that her party would continue to consistently help stunted children throughout Papua. Julianto is no exception, he is now on the weight scale close to the ideal
Her party also thanked the local health cadres who had maximally helped Julianto progress towards his ideal weight and escape from stunting.
"At his age, Julianto should ideally be above 6 kilograms, but at least there has been a significant increase after being given milk and additional food."
"Again, we will be consistent in helping children who are stunted, to make the government program a success. But thank you also to the health cadres who have helped," she said. ***
