JAYAPURA - The reconciliation of assets of the Papua Provincial Government together with three new autonomous regions (DOB) has been held again. The meeting occurred at the local Governor's Office, Jayapura City, on Thursday (14/3/2024) morning.
Papua Provincial Inspector, Anggiat Situmorang said in the reconciliation meeting it was revealed that the assets were handed over to autonomous regions, most of them from the Public Works and Public Housing Agency (PUPR).
"For example, bridges, then also roads built by the Papua PUPR Office and others," Anggiat explained to the press, after the meeting.
He said the asset reconciliation meeting aims to avoid data duplication. That way, the assets that have been handed over are no longer recorded in the province.
In addition, the meeting was also held to harmonize balance sheet data between agencies in Papua Province with three autonomous regions.
"For example, for the Public Works Office, all assets handed over to Central Papua Province will be described in detail," said Anggiat.
According to Anggiat, it is very important to explain the acquisition value, accumulated depreciation, book value, location, area, length, and value of the assets handed over.
In addition, it is also necessary to resolve narrative issues related to the transfer of assets, including the making of governor regulations and special accounting policies.
"That's why we hope from this meeting that the assets received by the new autonomous region will be clear. At the same time, we encourage new autonomous regions to compile a balance sheet accurately," he said. ***
