JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong ensures that the stock of Fuel Oil is in sufficient condition.
This was stated by Governor Limbong, after conducting a Fuel Inspection at the PT. Pertamina Papua-Maluku Region, Jayapura City, Friday (27/9/2024).
"Their report (Pertamina) has enough stock for up to 8 days, then later on September 28 it will be restocked again," he told reporters.
"Of course, Pertamina guarantees that fuel stocks are sufficient during the Regional Elections, until Christmas and New Year. The availability of tank cars is also sufficient to operate, a total of 14 vehicles serving Jayapura City and its surroundings," added Ramses.
Limbong on this occasion also asked Pertamina in the local area to add new petrol stations in Jayapura regency/city.
This aims to reduce vehicle queues in petrol station areas that often occur.
"We ask Pertamina to improve the quality of its services at the petrol station level. So, the community as consumers can be well served.
In addition to Pertamina, Governor Limbong and his staff conducted a surprise inspection of the Logistics Agency Warehouse in Jayapura City. By the inspection, rice stock is certainly sufficient to face the moment of the Regional Elections and ahead of Christmas.
"They also conveyed that the rice stock for the Papua region, especially Jayapura City and its surroundings, is sufficient. In the warehouse, there are 2,000 tons and 2,000 tons are being unloaded at the port, so a total of 4,000 tons," said Ramses.
Nevertheless, Ramses expects the Logistics Agency to routinely monitor to ensure that the distribution is evenly distributed so the community's needs will be met. ***
