JAYAPURA - The preparation of the RPJMN which was carried out after the election of the President must be completed. Likewise, the Papua RPJMD is prepared based on the references produced from the RPJMN discussed at Bappenas by adjusting the existing conditions in the region. This was conveyed by Acting Governor Ramses Limbong when giving directions at the orientation meeting for the preparation of the Papua Provincial RPJJMD for 2025 – 2029 at the Sasana Krida Hall, Papua Governor's Office, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Bapperida, as a technical Regional Work Unit, is a planner who thinks about the direction of Papua's future development, which is outlined in short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans. By involving the Regional Work Unit as a policy facilitator that has been determined, "Bapperida cannot work alone," said Ramses.

The importance of utilizing the potential of resources in the environment and society and involving job analysis to ensure that the planning process can be executed properly. Collaboration between the regions and the central government must run in the same direction as the basis of Asta Cita, added Ramses

Ramses emphasized that the Regional Work Unit should make a planning framework/concept of what the framework of thinking will be implemented so that it can be processed by Bapperida, create space and time to coordinate, "If our intentions are good and sincere, I am sure the results will be good," said Ramses inviting all civil servants to work and recreation to benefit the community.

The direction of development and spatial planning must talk about the sustainable improvement of the economic sector, there must be a link between the Province and the Regency in the agriculture/food crops, marine/fisheries and tourism sectors must be planned from year to year and lead to self-sufficiency in agro-industrial food and creative economic development.

Ramses emphasized that the determination of loci and potential in districts/cities must be well coordinated and one-way so that it can be optimal which will later be outlined in the next five-year planning document so that we can have one direction and one goal to be able to determine development goals, "Don't think about who the leader is, who is the Governor, I am sure it will be implemented well, " said Ramses.

The agricultural sector, marine sector and tourism sector are the core businesses in Papua that must be encouraged for development in Papua but do not rule out health and infrastructure development so that Papuan development does not think sectorally, he added.

I ask relevant agencies and all parties to have good intentions and seriousness and contribute to the implementation of the development plan so that the goal of making Papua Healthy, Smart Papua and Productive Papua can be realized. ***
