JAYAPURA - Member of the House of Representatives Commission XIII, Yan P Mandenas visited the Papua Governor's Office, Friday, January 24, 2025 and was received by the Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong accompanied by Acting Assistant Secretary and several heads of related Regional Work Unit.

Yan P. Mandenas said that the visit to the Papua Provincial Government was part of his recess visit. He said that this visit was used to build communication and synergy with the Papuan Government and hoped to help solve the burden that was still piling up in the Papua Provincial Government after the formation of the new autonomous region," he said.

There are several things that Mandenas revealed, namely related to the formation of new autonomous regions and the distribution of civil servants from the main province to the new expansion region. "We want to encourage the formation of new expansion areas and equitable distribution of Papua's development. Regarding the distribution of civil servants, the President of PSBS Biak, said that the spirit of the formation of new expansion areas should also be followed by the distribution of civil servants from the main province to the new expansion area. However, this does not go as well as a result of the tug-of-war of interests and also certain reasons made by civil servants. State Civil Apparatus is ready to be placed wherever as mandatory by law, this is what I think is not by the initial spirit of us forming a new province," he said.

Regarding President Prabawo's Quick Wins, Free Nutritious Meal Program, he said a need for collaboration between the provincial government and the central government. The form of collaboration can be carried out, for example, by providing a public kitchen prepared by the provincial government, and the central government will rent or build its kitchen and the provincial government prepares the land.

"The provincial government does not need to spend money," said the Head of the National Nutrition Agency. Fishermen and farmers can also be involved in preparing raw materials, Mandenas also asked the provincial government to give special attention and treatment for schools on the border in implementing this MBG Program.

On the same occasion, Acting Governor Ramses Limbong together with the Regional Secretary and Regional Work Unit in Papua Province expressed their appreciation for the current visit, and said that the Papua Provincial Government is experiencing overcapacity after the new autonomous region, the existing civil servants should be distributed to the new autonomous region. "We will try to rationalize ministries/institutions in Papua Province, one of which is the National Land Agency, " said Ramses Limbong.

Regarding the MBG Program, the Acting Governor of Papua emphasized that it will be implemented in stages. When meeting with the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, the Free Nutritious Meal Program must look at the local wisdom of Papua, where this program is implemented so that it runs well as planned by considering the prices in Papua. "It's okay to be a little late, but the coordination can go well until the implementation stage," said Ramses.
