JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government is building coordination with the Provincial Government of Highland Papua in the tourism sector.
This was revealed when the Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, visited Jayawijaya on January 28-29.
These two areas have the potential for ecotourism that can be collaborated, Highland Papua with its mountain clusters and the Baliem Valley Festival. Meanwhile, Papua with its beaches.
"That way it becomes a source of income for the two regions," said the Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong.
Ramses admitted that he continues to strive for the tourism sectors in the land of Papua to develop more rapidly, considering that this potential is still wide open.
As said by Acting Governor Ramses, Papua has its own uniqueness compared to other regions, it's just that so far it has not been worked on optimally.
"Therefore, through the visit, it is hoped that there will be cooperation and collaboration that can occur," he hoped.
According to him, these two provinces can develop more rapidly and provide economic benefits for the community through the natural beauty and culture of Papua to the world. ***
