SENTANI - Acting Governor Ramses Limbong attended the Coordination Meeting for the Development of Competency of the State Civil Apparatus organized by the Human Resources Development Agency of the Papua Provincial Government which was attended by State Civil Apparatus representatives from the Provinces of Papua, Highland Papua, South Papua, Central Papua and Southwest Papua, Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

In his remarks, Ramses Limbong reminded them about budget efficiency according to the President's instructions. He said that the budget efficiency instructed by the President does not mean that you should not do something, but do productive things whose value can be accounted for by the duties. Ramses also said that there should be standardization carried out by LAN so that the quality of State Civil Apparatus in the future, especially ASN in the Land of Papua can compete with State Civil Apparatus in other regions so they can contribute and provide maximum service to the community.

Another thing said by Ramses Limbong is the existence of Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025 concerning the rationalization and effectiveness of the use of the budget, said Ramses "In the future, if there are activities that are carried out offline we can use the halls of government offices or existing buildings, while if the activities are carried out online can use video conference so that the purpose of the meeting can be achieved".

About rationalizing the budget, Limbong said "The point is that we must be able to survive, so that we can create innovation and creativity, not just about the budget". Limbong added that the budget is indeed important, but rationalization is expected to create creativity so that the State Civil Apparatus can produce something that serves the community. With budget limitations, creativity will bring benefits to the community and State Civil Apparatus.

On the same occasion, the Head of the State Administration Institution DR. Muhammad Taufiq, DEA said that this meeting is an important momentum for Papua to produce more professional apparatus. The Law of State Civil Apparatus requires all State Civil Apparatus to study so that it can be used to mobilize State Civil Apparatus in Papua to be more professional to accelerate development in the Land of Papua.

It is hoped the Coordination Meeting will make a new policy. "We will encourage the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) for State Civil Apparatus and carry out integrated learning that has a wider and more efficient impact by technology," said Taufiq. ***
