JAYAPURA – The government ensures that the rationalization of state spending will not affect health services in Papua. The Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, emphasized that there were no special budget cuts for the health sector, either from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) or the non-physical budget.
"There are no cuts for health services, both from DAK and non-physical. The government continues to make health a priority," said Ramses in Jayapura, Wednesday (12/2).
In addition to the health sector, Ramses said that the government also pays special attention to the food security sector. He suspects that the rationalized budget is diverted to support these strategic sectors.
"The rationalized budget may be used for these things, namely health and agriculture," said Ramses.
He added that the rationalization of state spending is carried out by the central government as part of a budget efficiency strategy in global economic dynamics.
"However, the government ensures that this policy will not hinder service programs to the community, especially in the health and food sectors," he concluded. ***
