JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government emphasized that budget efficiency should not be a reason for the Regional Apparatus Work Unit (SKPD) to reduce work productivity.
Even though the number of programs and activities has decreased, the Regional Apparatus Work Unit should carry out its duties by prioritizing the principle of priority scale.
"I ask all Regional Apparatus Work Units to continue to maintain their performance during the budget efficiency policy mandated through Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025," said Limbong.
According to him, each Regional Apparatus Work Unit must map out the program that has the most impact and supports the interests of the community.
"Activities are reduced, but the Regional Apparatus Work Unit must work effectively by the available budget," he said.
In addition, Ramses emphasized the importance of budget rationalization in each Regional Apparatus Work Unit. The budget for official trips, office stationery, and other non-urgent expenses will be reduced and adjusted by the provisions of the Presidential Instruction.
"The budget rationalization is carried out first by each Regional Apparatus Work Unit before being submitted to the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD). After that, the results will be reported to the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Limbong.
He emphasized that even though there was a budget cut, the administration of the government must still run optimally.
"Activities that have a direct impact on the community will remain a top priority in the use of the budget," he said. ***
