JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government, through the local Food Crops and Horticulture and Food Service, will hold cheap markets in eight districts/cities.
This cheap market is to maintain price stability during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
Acting Head of the Food Crops and Horticulture and Food Service of Papua Province, Lunanka Daimboa, said that the National Food Agency (BPN) advocated holding a cheap market.
"BPN has encouraged us to hold a cheap market. Both ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr,"
The provincial government also said that Lunanka would carry out a low-cost food movement and activate food stalls.
"Regarding readiness ahead of Ramadan, we have coordinated with government partners such as Logistic Agencies and Post Offices," he concluded. ***
