JAYAPURA – Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, received a visit from the General Elections Commission (KPU RI) in his office on Tuesday (March 5).
The meeting was held in response to the Constitutional Court's (MK) decision regarding the implementation of the re-run election (PSU) for the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua.
Governor Ramses emphasized that the re-run election in Papua must be successful under any circumstances.
"We are indeed facing budget constraints, but for the PSU, we will find a solution. The most important thing is that the election must proceed," said Ramses.
He urged the KPU to implement budget efficiency measures and avoid unnecessary official travel if tasks can be carried out online.
"If possible, activities should be conducted in the office or meeting rooms. Meetings can also be held virtually whenever feasible. We must ensure maximum budget efficiency amid the current limitations," he concluded. ***
