JAYAPURA – Following the simultaneous implementation of the 2025 Re-Vote for the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua held today, the Regional Head Election Desk of Papua Provincial Government immediately monitored the vote recapitulation process at each Polling Station through the official digital platform of the General Election Commission. (August 6)
The Head of the Papua Provincial National Unity and Politics Agency, Musa Isir, stated that the monitoring activity aims to observe whether the vote counting of the uploaded forms is conducted strictly according to procedures, as well as to monitor the latest developments in the re-vote implementation across all districts and cities in Papua. “This monitoring is carried out to check the progress of uploading C2 Plano from the Polling Station to the General Election Commission official channel, while also observing the overall dynamics of the re-vote implementation at the district and city level,” Musa said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Papua Provincial Communication and Informatics Office, Jeri Agus Yudianto, added that the monitoring process using the digital platform of the General Election Commission highly depends on the speed and accuracy of human resources at the Polling Station in uploading data, as well as the availability of infrastructure and internet access at the voting locations.
“The smooth flow of data is strongly influenced by the technical capability of the Voting Organizing Committee and the internet network conditions at the location. However, this platform also represents a real form of transparency in the vote counting process, as the public can monitor the results in real-time according to the regulations,” explained Jeri.
Earlier this morning, Acting Governor of Papua Agus Fatoni, along with a delegation from the central and regional government, conducted a direct inspection of several Polling stations in Jayapura City and Jayapura Regency. The locations visited included TPS 06 Vim Village, Abepura District, and Hinekombe Village, Sentani District.
This monitoring and inspection activity is part of the strategic steps by the Papua Provincial Government to ensure that all stages of the re-vote, from voting to recapitulation, proceed safely, orderly, transparently, and accountability. ***
