JAYAPURA — The Papua Provincial Government is evaluating the implementation of work from home (WFH) for civil servants as part of adjustments to the work system and efforts to strengthen performance.
Papua Governor Matius D. Fakhiri said the evaluation is being carried out to ensure that the WFH work pattern remains effective and aligned with organizational performance targets.
"We will evaluate the implementation of WFH, both in terms of officials' attendance and how civil servants work from home," Fakhiri said in Jayapura on Tuesday (April 21, 2026).
According to him, the main indicator in implementing WFH is work achievement, not merely attendance.
"WFH means working from home; what matters is that their duties are completed," he said.
The results of the evaluation will serve as material for adjustments to personnel policy, including the review of performance-based employee additional income. ***
