Indonesia's National Sports Committee (KONI) has approved training equipment for 37 sports that are currently distributed, in accordance with standards and have received the approval of the relevant administrators.
This was conveyed by head of facilities field of KONI Papua, Benny Yensenem, in a press statement in Jayapura on Monday (9/11/2020). Benny in his statement was accompanied by members of KONI Public Relations Papua.
As for the training equipment that is assessed still not according to specifications, Benny guarantees to get a replacement. However, the return is mandatory in one piece and has not been used.
"If the equipment does not match the specifications please be returned, it will be replaced immediately. Because third parties are already committed to the minute of goods handover that has been signed to replace. But the goods must be returned in one piece," he said.
It is still said that Benny, the equipment that was temporarily shared will actually be used for PON matches in October 2020. It's just that because there is a resignation time, he hopes the equipment can last longer until the implementation of PON next year.
"But if it has been damaged during the centralization of training, we have to do procurement again".
"That's why we need the support of KONI leadership, so procurement can be done again (if any equipment is damaged)," he said.
It is known that of the 37 sports that will be contested at National Sports Week XX in 2021, a total of 25 sports conducted training centralization in Jayapura. The rest is spread across Java and Bali.
For sports who conduct training centralization outside Papua, training equipment will be sent from Jakarta. Meanwhile, sports which conduct training centralization in Papua, it was sent from Jayapura Port.
