JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government ensures the implementation of the second Pacific Exposition in Wellington, New Zealand, will be held virtually, 28 to 30 October 2021.
Head of The Papua Border and Foreign Cooperation Agency (BPKLN) Suzana Wanggai stated that the province in Indonesia is ready to showcase superior products at the international event.
"Where to prepare it we are currently identifying the superior products that will be exhibited at the Pacific Exposition 2021"
"And although held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are very ready to show off Papua's product to the international community," he told the press on Wednesday (09/08/2021).
Suzana said some of the flagship Products of Papua that will be exhibited in the event, including Sambal Mace Papua, Sambal Baba, Kopi Papua and others.
Her parties together with related institutions are also encouraging the superior products of Papuan batik to be promoted to the international community.
Meanwhile, because the implementation is held online, the Papua Provincial Government cooperates with the Event Organizer (EO) to set up and prepare everything related to virtual display.
"Because we are competing with several provinces in Indonesia, such as West Papua, Maluku, North Maluku, and North Sulawesi which are certain to participate in the Pacific Exposition 2021. And because it is virtual, we ask EO to set the event, "he explained.
She added, related to the process of identifying Papua's superior products, it was a follow-up to the results of a meeting with the Indonesian Embassy in New Zealand and the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, some time ago.
It asks for the support of relevant parties and the Papuan people so that preparations for the implementation of the Pacific Exposition can run as they should. ***
