JAYAPURA - General Chairperson of the Indonesian Red Cross (PB PMI) HM Jusuf Kalla inaugurated the honorary board and management of PMI Papua Province for the 2022-2027 term at the State Building, Jayapura, Wednesday 29 June 2022.
The administrators were endorsed by the Chairman of PMI, Jusuf Kalla, who is also a former two-term Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.
After the inauguration, Jusuf Kalla advised that PMI Papua could continue to synergize with the local government and other stakeholders, in order to face challenges in carrying out mandates and function in the humanitarian sector.
"My message is that the Honorary Council and the new Papua PMI management can improve their performance and humanitarian services for the community," said Jusuf Kalla.
Acting Assistant for General Affairs of the Regional Secretary of Papua, Derek Hegemur in his speech asked the honorary council and management of the Papuan PMI, so that they could contribute to the implementation of humanitarian tasks in Papua.
"There are indeed many limitations in reaching all regions in Papua, we hope that all relevant parties will support each other and work as a team and join hands in an effort to overcome disaster events," he urged.
It is known that the Honorary Council of PMI Papua for the 2022-2027 period was inaugurated, namely Chairman Yulce Enembe, Secretary Doren Wakerkwa and five members respectively, Ishak Samuel Wopari, Dr. H. Mansyur, Jacleana Joku, Yohanes Walilo and Dr. Roby Kayame.
