JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government invites all elements of society to unite in achieving independence in Papua, even though they have different opinions in all respects.
"We know in many areas there must be differences of opinion from one another. But in state life, a country is strong if its people are united".
"It means that difference is a nature that cannot be avoided. But the differences should be a force to be able to jointly take part in development in Indonesia," said Assistant for Economic Affairs and The Regional Affairs of Papua, Muhammad Musa'ad, in Jayapura, after the Second Commemoration Ceremony of the 77th Proclamation of Indonesian Independence, at the Lukas Enembe Stadium Complex, Wednesday (17/8/2022).
According to him, currently there are quite a lot of young Papuan talents who have now sat in various important positions in the central government.
In addition to the government, not infrequently the younger generation of Papuans as representatives of the people who loudly voice the acceleration of development in Papua.
"Some have become deputy ministers, then young Papuans have also led their respective regions".
"For this reason, it is time for us to join the ranks together, unite our determination to advance Papua. If not us, then who else," said Musa’ad. ***
