JAKARTA - The Culture and Tourism Department of Papua through the Technical Implementation Unit of the State Museum in collaboration with the Technical Implementation Unit of Papua Pavilion, the Papua Regional Liaison Agency in Jakarta, carried out maintenance of the Museum Collection at the Papua Pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Jakarta, Friday.
The Kariwari Museum on the Papua Pavilion is a place to exhibit cultural properties from various tribes in Papua.
The Technical Implementation Unit of the State Museum of Papua consists of 7 personnel who come to care for and maintain the collection of cultural properties at the Papua Pavilion and work from 19 to 23 June 2023.
The head of the Technical Implementation Unit of the State Museum of Papua Province, Aman Ubruangge, said that the maintenance is a routine activity of the Technical Implementation Unit of the State Museum.
"We have routinely carried out this activity and have stopped because of Covid-19 and others. We take this care because of cultural properties from all data in Papua, especially before the existence of the New Autonomous Region so we need to do maintenance," said Aman Ubruangge.
Head of the Regional Liaison Agency of Papua, Alexander Kapisa expressed his gratitude for the attention from the Department of Culture and Tourism through the Technical Implementation Unit of the State Museum, which has carried out the care and maintenance of the collection of cultural properties.
