SERUI – The Papua Family Welfare Empowerment Driving Team handed over 300 packages of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) at a number of Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu), during the visit to Yapen Islands Regency, Wednesday (10/18/2023).
The package was handed over by the Acting Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment Driving Team of Papua, Linda Onibala symbolically, received by officers of the Mambruk Integrated Service Post in Kampung Cina Tua, South Yapen District, Serui, Yapen Islands Regency.
Linda Onibala in her speech appreciated the local Integrated Service Posts cadres and hoped that the assistance provided could be useful in accelerating stunting reduction in the local area.
"Maybe this assistance cannot be given to all Integrated Service Posts in Yapen, but we will see later".
"And I appreciate the cadres of the Integrated Service Posts in Yapen, who are persistent and strive to improve health services in Yapen," she said.
The Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun stated the importance of providing regular nutrition from an early age for toddlers, including vaccinations.
Because children affected by polio will not support their lives in the future.
"Likewise, with stunting. I hope the Acting Regent of Yapen and all of us can save these children starting from theIntegrated Service Posts."
"These children are the golden generation in 2040. I used to say over and over again that maybe the children in the Integrated Service Posts here will become regents. Therefore, we are equally serious in handling it as a government responsibility," he said.
The Family Welfare Empowerment of Papua previously handed over 300 PHBS packages to a number of Integrated Service Posts during the visit to Sarmi and Supiori districts in the agenda of a working visit to accelerate stunting reduction. ***
