JAYAPURA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the results of a survey conducted by the anti-corruption agency confirmed that the administration in Papua Province was still vulnerable to corruption.
Therefore, the KPK asked the mass media to participate in monitoring and providing information to minimize corrupt practices in the local area.
"The survey results show that Papua is still very vulnerable to corruption, so the role of the media in providing information is very necessary," said the Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Johanis Tanak in Jayapura City on Monday.

"Thus, supervision from the media is very influential in carrying out the laws imposed on us,"he said.
Johanis added, in an effort to prevent corruption, the Corruption Eradication Commission will always intensively conduct integrity surveys and monitoring of prevention both in institutions and others.
"However, if there is a report that comes in, of course we will follow up by conducting a review of the information. If there is enough evidence, an investigation will be carried out."
