JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun met Indigenous Papuan businessmen (OAP), Tuesday (5/12/2023), at the local Public Works and Public Housing Office (PUPR).
In his direction, Ridwan firmly asked all OAP entrepreneurs to carry out work by the standards contained in the budget plan of the activity in question. "Nothing should be fictitious," said Acting Governor Ridwan on the sidelines of the meeting.
Ridwan reiterated that his party never asked for project fees for any activities in the PUPR Office or other Regional Work Unit. Therefore, he allows aggrieved parties to report to the authorities, if they encounter such a problem.
"That's why I also ask the head of PUPR and other officials and businessmen, to work properly and not mess around. Because doing things that are not right will come into contact with law enforcement officials (Police, Prosecutor's Office and Corruption Eradication Commission)," he said. Finally, the Governor appealed to OAP entrepreneurs not to focus on work sourced from government projects or activities in the future, considering the value of the Provincial Government Regional Budget which is now not as large as before the expansion of Papua Province.
"It's good to start looking at the real sector, because as we know there is potential for trade cooperation with PNG in the border region, whose economic value is also very large," hoped Ridwan. ***
