SUPIORI - Polio immunization coverage in Supiori Regency is reported to have reached above 35 percent.
The Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun made a working visit to the district and asked the relevant parties to accelerate polio immunization so that all children can be protected.
"I hope (polio immunization) will be accelerated even more so that all children can be protected from polio," he said, in Supiori, Friday (28/6/2024).
During his working visit, Governor Ridwan also saw the implementation of the President's priority program in Supiori. It includes handling extreme poverty, inflation, stunting and polio immunization.
"From the monitor, it can be seen that all programs have gone well. Hopefully, we can achieve the results we hope for together," he said.
"Thank you also for the work of the Supiori Regency Government and all stakeholders in handling the direction from the president. Especially about the Regional Election funds that have been handed over to the organizers and the security forces," he said
Meanwhile, the Papua Provincial Government distributed various assistance to residents in Supiori Regency. One of them is VSAT assistance and Videotron installed in the Supiori Regent Office area.
"VSAT and Videotron assistance is also part of our efforts to educate the public through digital literacy. Especially, to meet the needs of internet access in schools," concluded Ridwan.
He was accompanied by the Papua Regional Secretary, the heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations and the Acting Chairman of the Papua PKK TP. Governor Ridwan's series of activities in Supiori began with a meeting with the Supiori Regency Government at the Regent's Office.
