JAYAPURA - Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Papua Provincial Government are asked to carry out activities following their respective budget line. Implementation outside the budget provisions has a potential to hinder the running of community services and development.
"If you make activities outside the budget, it will be a problem if priority is the priority. Each agency knows better what their needs are," said Assistant I of the Papua Regional Secretariat, Yohanis Walilo, after handing over the 2024 budget ceiling representing the Acting Governor of Papua, in Jayapura City, Thursday (4/7/2024).
Walilo also emphasized that each Regional Apparatus Organization should adjust to theconditions and prioritize priority activitiesto be carried out.
Meanwhile, the local PUPR Office should immediately complete the contract for all physical activities so it can be completed on time.
"Don't let you not have enough time to complete your physical activities. If the contract period passes, it will be a burden for the government," he said.
Previously, Walilo said that the budget ceiling of the Regional Apparatus Organization did not change significantly due to the lack of local government budget. However, there are several Regional Apparatus Organizations whose budgets have increased slightly, such as the Sports and Youth Office and the PUPR Office.
"The budget of the Sports Officehas increased slightly because of PON, also the same increase in PUPR and MRP because of preparations for the renovation of the governor's office and regional planning, for other Regional Apparatus Organizations are following the existing ceiling," he said. ***
