JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun appreciated the implementation of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Exhibition which was held at the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYTH), Jayapura City.
The MSME exhibition throughout Papua will be held for five days from July 21 to July 26, 2024 with a target of 6,000 visitors and a turnover of IDR 900 million.
Ridwan hopes the agenda will encourage business actors' development and economic growth in Papua.
"The Governor appreciated this event, and it is hoped that it can encourage the development of business actors, especially MSMEs in Papua, where MSMEs as one of the sectors canabsorb large workers."
"Ridwan also conveyed that MSMEs are one of the pillars of improving the economy so that the Papua Provincial Government supports aspects of MSME development," quoted the Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Office, Jeri A. Yudianto, as per a release received by the editor, Monday (22/7/2024).
According to the Governor, the Head of Jeri Yudianto conveyed that the exhibition agenda, which was attended by all districts and cities of state-owned enterprises and local banks, is expected to encourage the younger generation to participate in advancing Papuan MSMEs.
"Because the role of these young people is very strategic. Moreover, MSME products are now inseparable from digitalization."
