JAYAPURA - Assistant I of the Papua Regional Secretariat, Yohanes Walilo, ensured that the Additional Employee Income (TPP) for civil servants of the Papua Provincial Government has been budgeted into the 2024 Revised Regional Budget.
As directed by the Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, TPP is budgeted into the Revised Regional Budget and has become an obligation of the government to be fulfilled.
"The TPP was previously not included in the main Regional Budget because the regional fiscal condition was insufficient when making plans for the 2024 fiscal year,"
"It's different that the civil servant is included in mandatory spending that we cannot delay so it must be included in the Main Budget. TPP must be adjusted to the region's financial capabilities as per the Minister of Home Affairs," said in Jayapura, Monday (19/8/2024).
He hopes that the civil servants will be able to adjust to provincial government policies because the current regional budget has decreased drastically, while employee spending is high.
He also could not mention the amount of the average TPP value received by the officials, because it would be calculated based on the map or class of positions. That way, the amount received by civil servants will vary.
"The amount received will be calculated based on the group. This TPP has been budgeted for one year in the Revised Regional Budget. Indeed, we have paid until March, then March to August, the third and fourth quarters will follow soon."
"The point is that we can't be 100 percent, we don't use percentages anymore because it is calculated based on the position map. But it is clear that the value has decreased from the previous yearbecause the position map and regional financial conditions are adjusted," he said. ***
