JAYAPURA - Around 2,500 participants consisting of State Civil Apparatus, Indonesian National Army- Police of the Republic of Indonesia, State-Owned Enterprises/Regional Owned Enterprises and the public, took part in the commemoration of world walking day.
The world agenda was held by the Papua Provincial Government, taking the start and finish at the local Governor's Office, Soa Siu Dok II, Jayapura City, Friday (4/10/2024).
Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong hopes that the agenda can strengthen the synergy of all parties in Papua. Starting from the community, the Indonesian National Army and Police, State Civil Apparatus and State-Owned Enterprises/Regional Owned Enterprises.
"Our goal is to be happy together, so there is joy when doing exercise together. We are all involved that we become one, so that cooperation is established and the realization of the Papua Regional Elections will be safe and peaceful," said Ramses.
The commemoration of World Walking Day began with a fun walk, then continued with joint gymnastics and ended with the distribution of door prizes.
This activity was also held to enliven the 79th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Army, as well as to build togetherness towards the Peaceful Regional Elections.
Meanwhile, regarding the commemoration of the Indonesian National Army Anniversary, Ramses advised all National Army in Papua to work with their hearts. The Indonesian Army, he continued, must also be able to always be together with the people.
