JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government will soon open the selection of positions for 18 heads of regional apparatus  organizations (OPD).

The submission process, according to the Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong, has received the "green light" from the Minister of Home Affairs.

Nevertheless, his party still has to coordinate with the State Civil Service Agency to further conceptualize the formation of a selection committee that will carry out the bidding process.

"Of course, I hope from this selection process, the right person will be selected, in the right position," explained Governor Limbong, in Jayapura, Wednesday (9/10/2024).

Meanwhile, the 18 positions of the heads of Regional Apparatus Organization include heads of agencies and heads of bureaus. All of them are Echelon II positions.

The Governor on this occasion stated that he had no interest in the selection process for the head of Regional Apparatus Organization in the Papua Provincial Government.

He wants the Echelon II position, which has not yet been definitive, to have a leader with permanent legal force, so that he can be fully responsible for budgeting and decision-making in each agency.

"I have no interests, but I just want the services in each agency to run as they should because there is a definitive head of the agency," he said. ***
