JAYAPURA - Acting Regional Secretary of Papua Yohanes Walilo said that Special Autonomy is a great opportunity for the government of Papua to improve welfare and development.
It was conveyed by Walilo in the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of Special Autonomy, which is a follow-up to article 4 of government regulation number 107 of 2021 concerning the receipt, management, supervision, and master plan for accelerating development.
The activity was held at the Aston Hotel Jayapura City, Tuesday.
"For this reason, this workshop, monitoring and evaluation is a strategic step to ensure that the implementation of Special Autonomy runs according to plan and provides real benefits for the people of Papua," he explained.
According to Walilo, this activity will discuss various aspects related to the receipt of Special Autonomy, including resource management, supervision mechanisms, and development acceleration strategies.
"We hope that all parties involved in monitoring and evaluation can actively contribute to discussions as well as share experiences and provide constructive input," he hoped.
He added the importance of strong collaboration between the government, the community and stakeholders to optimize the existing potential.
At the same time, it ensures that the benefits of Special Autonomy are truly felt by the Papuan people.
