JAYAPURA—The Papua Communication and Informatics Office conducted website management training to promote transparency and information disclosure in Papua.
The training was attended by 123 State Civil Apparatus within the Papua Provincial Government, Wednesday (23/10/2024).
According to the Head of the Papua Provincial Government Communication and Informatics Office, Jery Agus Yudianto, it aims to maximize the performance of civil servants in terms of publication of government activities.
In addition, each agency can convey its performance to the public through their respective websites, in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner for readers.
"So, we hope that Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the Papua Provincial Government can manage their websites independently in the future because it is very important to increase transparency," he said.
According to Jeri, website management improvement activities also provide material on how to make releases by implementing government journalists.
With hope, the Regional Apparatus Organization has a website that facilitates the performance of the Papua provincial government in terms of data access by the public.
"In addition to writing a release on the website, knowledge of the basics of photography is also provided so that participants understand taking photos for website news."
"That way, public transparency in the Papua Provincial Government is expected to be better because the public has the right to know what has been done by the government," he said. ***
