JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong appealed to the members of the Papuan House of Representatives to maximize their role in overseeing the simultaneous regional elections on November 27, 2024.
This is so that a candidate for leadership who can lead Papua Province in a better, more advanced, and prosperous direction is selected.
"The supervision is carried out starting from the preparation stage, election to the inauguration of the elected regional head, which the results are under laws and regulations," explained Ramses after attending the inauguration of the DPRP at the Papua Provincial Parliament Building, Jayapura City, Thursday (31/10/2024).
He also hopes that the 45 members of the Papuan House of Representatives who have been inaugurated with a 2024-2029 term of service, will collaborate with the local government to build Papua towards a better direction.
"Because the government and the Papuan House of Representatives need to be actualized in supporting the realization of development synergy between districts/cities."
Ramses also hopes that the DPRP members will later be able to understand the context of the specificity and privileges of Papua Province while remaining within the corridor of the Republic of Indonesia.
"That's why the synergy and collaboration of collective work between the DPRP and the Papua Regional Government must be directed positively to provide a quick response in solving problems," he hoped.
