JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government through the Department of Industry and Trade guarantees the availability of goods and the stability of the price of staples ahead of Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr.
"The plan, ahead of Ramadan, we will inspect staples and hold a cheap market," said Hartati Iwanggin.
The cheap market will make it easier for Muslims to meet their needs to welcome Ramadan. "So far, the availability of basic necessities and prices are still stable," said Hartati.
She also hopes that prices will remain stable until Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, so that people do not experience difficulties.
"We ask traders not to hoard goods or increase prices, and we will control it," he said.
She appealed to the public not to overdo it in shopping, because the availability of basic necessities is sufficient.
"It is natural to shop to prepare the needs of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, because we ensure that the availability of staples in Papua is safe," she concluded. ***
