JAYAPURA – The Papua Department of Trade and Industry has confirmed that there are no violations in fuel measurement at gas stations after conducting an inspection.
The monitoring was carried out to ensure that consumers receive fuel according to standard measurements.
“We conducted checks on fuel measurement at gas station dispensers. The results indicate that all are still within the tolerance limits,” said the Head of the Papua Department of Trade and Industry, Hartati Iwanggin.
The inspection took place in Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, and Keerom Regency through the Jayapura UPTD Standardization and Calibration Laboratory.
The examination assessed the accuracy of fuel volume per litre as determined by Pertamina.
“The permitted tolerance limit is plus or minus 100 millilitres per litre,” she explained.
Hartati emphasized that monitoring will continue to be conducted regularly. The government will impose sanctions according to applicable regulations if any violations are found. ***
