JAYAPURA – Acting Chair of the Papua Provincial Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP PKK), Kerdina Ramses Limbong, inaugurated eight heads of Family Welfare Empowerment Team for the district/city at Gedung Negara on Thursday (March 27, 2025).
Kerdina emphasized that their appointment is not just about holding a position but a calling to bring real change for the welfare of the people of Papua.
She stated that the PKK movement is a movement by, from, and for the community. Therefore, PKK is expected to successfully implement its 10 priority programs, empower families according to their areas of work, and reach PKK groups and Dasa Wisma units.
“Family Welfare Empowerment Team and its cadres must be at the forefront in creating quality families in terms of morals, education, health, socio-culture, economy, and the environment,” Kerdina stated.
The 10 priority programs must provide tangible benefits to society, including initiatives such as ensuring Indonesian families have proper civil administration, promoting a drug-free lifestyle, and protecting children from sexual violence.
“PKK is also responsible for overseeing the operations of Integrated Service Post, which not only focuses on health but also manages six other essential functions, including education,” she explained.
Kerdina urged the newly appointed Team Chairs of Family Welfare Empowerment in the district/city in Papua to further develop the programs.
“This way, our community can truly feel the presence of the government in improving their well-being,” she concluded. ***
