JAYAPURA – Papua Governor Matius D. Fakhiri urged civil servants to become the main drivers of the government’s digital transformation, not merely executors.
He delivered this message while reading the remarks of the Chairperson of the National Korpri Executive Board, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, during the Korpri Day ceremony at the governor’s office courtyard on Tuesday (2/12).
“The government’s commitment to strengthening Korpri is clear and very strong, and various efforts continue to be made. One of the bureaucratic reform measures is the enactment of Law Number 20 of 2023 concerning the State Civil Apparatus, replacing Law Number 5 of 2014,” he explained.
The replacement of the law, which had remained unchanged for 10 years, aims to adapt to societal developments and progress to strengthen the interests of civil servants, uphold professional codes of ethics, maintain State Civil Apparatus service standards, and reinforce the spirit of the civil servants corps as the glue and unifier of the nation.
He stated that Korpri plays an important role in ensuring that civil servants fulfill their duties as policy designers, public policy implementers, public service providers, and as a unifying force for the country.
“I believe that with a spirit of togetherness and sincere dedication, Korpri will continue to be a moral, social, and bureaucratic force that upholds clean, effective, and just governance,” he said.
The theme of the 54th KORPRI Anniversary this year is “United, Sovereign, Together with Indonesia, KORPRI Realizing Progress.” This theme reflects the determination of civil servants to maintain unity, integrity, independence, and professionalism in service, becoming a moral and professional force.
“This makes Korpri a unifying and driving force within the bureaucracy in realizing an advanced, just, competitive, and equitable Indonesia, with a spirit of strengthened solidarity and unity among Korpri members,” he concluded. ***
