The National Civil Service Agency(BKN) ensures the policy of appointing 20 thousands of honorary workers in Papua, still in process.
Currently, BKN is waiting for the results of the calculation of the needs of employees in 29 districts and cities including provinces.
"The honorary worker is still in progress and we are still waiting for the results of the calculation of the needs of employees from Papua".
"Clearly the central government has listened to the aspirations of the region. It has also been discussed in the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform and the National Civil Service Agency. Well we just wait for the official letter from Papua to Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment, then from Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment stay ordered to the National Civil Service Agency," explained Deputy Head of central the National Civil Service Agency, Supranawa Yusuf, told reporters in Jayapura, Friday.
When asked how long it would take to appoint 20 thousands of honorary employees in Papua, he could not estimate.
The appointment of honorary employees based on the needs in the district, city and province.
Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal on one occasion asked the National Civil Service Agency to encourage the appointment of 20 thousand of honorary employees.
He also hopes that the head of Regional Civil Service Agency IX Jayapura who was newly appointed in order to participate in encouraging and fighting for the aspiration.
"There are currently many Papuan honorary workers but they have not been appointed as employees".
"We hope National Civil Service Agency can participate in fighting for this aspiration so that is an opportunity for youth Papuan to have a career as civil servants," he concluded.
