JAYAPURA - The Acting Governor of Papua received a visit from the Papua Indonesia National Committee (KNPI) DPD Karateker Management, at the local Governor's Office, Soa Siu Street Dok II, Jayapura City, Thursday (12/9/2024).
Governor Limbong on the occasion expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of young people accommodated in the KNPI institution.
He also hopes that young Papuans can continue to increase their creativity and innovation to play a role in supporting the local government.
"Especially after the New Autonomous Region, the dynamics are so great, including the current low fiscal, so breakthroughs are urgently needed to develop Papua."
"However, regarding the dynamics of the organization in the KNPI, the government will not intervene but leave everything to the organization's budget. Especially in the Regional Head Election, KNPI is also expected to be able to take care of itself to create a cool and peaceful atmosphere together," hoped Limbong.
Mariolen Sawaki as the Chairman of the Papua Karateker KNPI expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Acting Governor Limbong.
She hopes that the Papuan government can provide support so that the implementation of the local KNPI Regional Conference to determine the management of the upcoming period, can be carried out before the simultaneous regional elections next November.
"So that the KNPI, which oversees many organizations, can synergize together to succeed and realize a peaceful regional election in Papua," she concluded. ***
