JAYAPURA– The Regional Revenue Management Agency of Papua Province is encouraging revenue-generating Regional Government Work Units within the provincial government to be more productive in managing regional assets.
Acting Head of Papua Regional Revenue Management Agency, Yosefina Fransina Way, stated that there are 26 Regional Government Work Units in Papua Province contributing to Regional Original Revenue.
"Let’s work together to increase the Regional Original Revenue of Papua by utilizing existing assets, especially beyond motor vehicle taxes, as this sector holds significant potential," said Yosefina.
She emphasized that successful asset management would have a major impact on regional revenue and future development in Papua.
"It is essential for revenue-generating Regional Government Work Units to collaborate in optimizing Regional Original Revenue growth," she added.
As part of Regional Original Revenue optimization efforts, the Regional Revenue Management Agency has also begun regulating the collection of levies at the Hamadi Fish Landing Base (PPI).
Yosefina highlighted that with better management, government assets could generate significant Regional Original Revenue.
"With budget efficiency, the revenue-generating Regional Government Work Units must work optimally to maximize the use of existing assets," she concluded. ***
