JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government, through the Papua Provincial Trade and Industry Office, will hold three cheap markets in different locations in Jayapura.
Acting Head of the Papua Provincial Trade and Industry Office, Hartati Sofia Iwanggin, stated that the first cheap market is scheduled to be held on March 17, followed by March 20 and March 24.
"We will organize the cheap market near mosques because our target is the Muslim community preparing for Eid," she said.
The commodities to be sold at the cheap market will follow the guidelines set by the National Food Agency.
"As directed by the National Food Agency, we will provide premium rice, garlic, shallots, cooking oil, sugar, and eggs," she added.
The office will collaborate with banks, major distributors in Jayapura, and State-Owned Enterprises.
"Our goal is to meet the needs of the community, especially those preparing for Eid," she concluded. ***
