JAYAPURA – Papua Governor Matius Fakhiri has urged the newly appointed management of PT Jamkrida Papua to immediately undertake comprehensive improvements during its first 100 days in office. The evaluation will focus on the company’s financial condition, guarantee portfolio, risk management, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Fakhiri delivered the directive while inaugurating the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors of PT Jamkrida Papua at the State Building on Monday (September 7, 2026). The inauguration followed an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held earlier the same day.
Fakhiri said a comprehensive evaluation was necessary to determine the company’s current condition and identify the appropriate measures for improvement. He called on the new management to run the company professionally, maintain financial soundness and integrity, and remain results-oriented.
“During the first 100 days, I want an evaluation of the company’s finances and guarantee portfolio, as well as stronger risk management, compliance, and cost efficiency,” Fakhiri said.
According to Fakhiri, Jamkrida Papua holds a strategic position in supporting regional economic development. Therefore, capital provided by the regional government must be managed effectively to generate economic benefits.
Fakhiri also instructed the management to develop strategies to increase profits and the company’s contribution to the region. The company’s performance must subsequently be reported periodically to the shareholders.
“I sincerely hope that we can deliver the best possible results in increasing profits and contributing to the region,” he said.
He reminded the new management that performance and tangible results should serve as the primary measures of success in carrying out their responsibilities. The company’s targets must also be achieved through discipline and integrity in managing the regional-owned enterprise.
“Ultimately, the measure of success is not how long someone holds office, but what they achieve,” Fakhiri said.
During the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, Jongki Latupeirissa was appointed President Commissioner, while Hironimus Hilapok was appointed President Director for the 2026–2031 term. The EGMS also appointed Nazaruddin as Operations Director and Fransisko as Finance Director for the same period.
Fransisko previously served as a commissioner before being appointed Finance Director. Fakhiri expressed hope that the new management would promptly translate the mandate into improved performance and a stronger contribution from Jamkrida Papua to regional development. ***
