Tuesday morning (03/11/2020), The Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of Papua held a Focus Discussion Group (FGD) on BluePrint accelerating the development of Indigenous Papuan Human Resources to the Level of Domestic and Foreign Universities as well as Predictions and Projections of Educational Financing Needs for Papuan Students at Domestic Higher Education, at Horison Kotaraja Hotel, Jayapura.
The discussion involving academics, education practitioners, members of the DPRP and the Papuan Assembly, the press and officials of the Papuan Government and the city district discussed two draft master plan documents, namely projection and prediction of education costs for Papuan students in domestic education.
And the draft master plan for the preparation and development of Papuan Indigenous Human Resources (SDM-OAP) through the implementation of affirmative higher education scholarships 25 years 2022-2047.
Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe,SIP. MHin his speech read by the Expert Staff of the Governor of Papua, Community and Human Resources, Elsye P Rumbekwan, SPi, M.Si said the Provincial Government (Provincial Government) of Papua is committed and gives serious attention in the progress of education and development of SDM-OAP.
"Since being appointed governor of Papua for the first period and the second period, I have continued to pay great attention to the education and human resources development sector of Indigenous Papuan (OAP). This commitment has been fulfilled in RPJMD Papua 2019-2023 which is to strengthen the quality of human resources competitiveness of OAP," he said.
It is said that there have been many breakthrough achievements of indigenous Papuan in domestic universities and foreign universities. Therefore, OAP human resources development program is one of the priorities of the Papua Provincial Government while keeping up with the development of Papuan needs.
Meanwhile, the Head of The Human Resources Development Agency of Papua, Aryoko AF Rumaropen,SP. M.Eng mentioned the draft document of human resources development master plan in collaboration with academics of Cenderawasih University (Uncen). It has been working for seven months to compile both documents.
"The process of drafting the grand document of human resources development and financing received input from various stakeholders from education practitioners, academics, board members as well as provincial and central officials. And thank goodness today the documents are ready and presented in the FGD,"he said.
He hopes that this document can be presented at forums meeting the governors' regional leaders with regents and mayors so that it can be used as a basis for development in the future.
