JAYAPURA - The 2024 Christmas Worship Celebration of the Papua Provincial Government, attended by the State Civil Apparatus, Indonesian National Defence Forces and Police, State-Owned Enterprises Regional-Owned Enterprises and Public at the Sasana Krida Building, Governor's Office with the theme "Let's Go Now to Bethlehem" filled with praises including from the Jayapura City and Regency Choir Association, the Imanuel Choir and the vocal group from the Syalom Orphanage, Friday, 27/12/24.

Christmas Reflection 2024, delivered by Archbishop Dr. Yanuarius Teofilas Matopai You from the Diocese of Jayapura, invites us to bring peace and love to all people, especially to those who are small, weak, poor, marginalized, and disabled, embracing them as brothers and sisters. It also calls us to foster peace with nature in Papua, where we live.

‘’Let us make our home a Bethlehem, a place where we manifest the love and peace of Lord Jesus.’’

Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of Papua expressed his appreciation to the chairman of the committee, who had worked hard to ensure the proper execution of this activity, which this Christmas coincided with the 75th Anniversary of Papua Province.  

Ramses Limbong in his Christmas message with the National Theme "Let's Go Now to Bethlehem" said that he was a layman and not a Torahian "Let's Now means not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow but now".

Ramses asked all parties to do it now, which is our responsibility: The State Civil Apparatus, Indonesian National Defence Forces and Police, and the entire community. Do it in accordance with their respective duties and responsibilities. Work with your heart so that our hearts will produce positive thoughts, and we will actualize them in their respective duties and responsibilities.

On the same occasion, Acting Assistant for General Administration Johana Orpa Anna Rumbiak as the Chairman of the Committee in her Report hoped that through this moment, our spirit of unity and togetherness will be stronger to realize an advanced, peaceful, and prosperous Papua. ***
